Crazy Chemworks

Our Crazy Chemworks camp gives campers the opportunity to work in the lab like a real scientist!  They will learn about polymers while creating some ooey-gooey slime, experience the extremes of the pH scale while creating reactions between acids and bases, and manipulate matter in all of its three states.

NASA: Journey into Outer Space

Campers will experience the thrills of space science.  From our Earth's atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends children on a quest for exploration!  Comets, planets, stars and more are all waiting to be discovered.  Learn about the four forces of flight, the challenges of space travel, and participate in a rocket launch!                                                                           

Super Sleuths

Step into the shoes of a detective -- uncover the science involved in evidence-gathering and analysis.  Become a super slueth and learn clever ways of performing tasks in this hands-on view of the science that spies use.  From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and discover the technological tools of detection.

*Note:  The Super Slueths camp was previosly known as Secret Agent Lab Camp in 2009.  For a different "Secret Agent" -related theme, please try out Camp Whodunit?

        Camp Whodunit?

Focus on the science of forensics in this hands-on look at crime scenes.  Identify and collect evidence, from fingerprints to tracks to trash!  Recreate the scence of a crime using clues and detailed observations.  Campers will use science to connect the dots and help sniff out the suspects in this exciting investigation into the science of crime-solving.
