Mad Science Preschool Programs are exciting, hands-on learning experiences for children ages 3 - 5. We come to your location and engage students in fun science demonstrations and age-appropriate, hands-on experiments. All programs are designed to captivate the curious nature of young children and help them better understand the world around us.
Preschool Workshops
Each 30 or 45 minute workshop is an interactive, age-appropriate exploration on a specific science topic. With a different topics to choose from, you select the topic that fits your needs. Preschoolers can investigate the invisible power of magnets, explore the human body, dig in and discover the world of dinosaurs and more. At the end of each class, children will take home a science project that is related to the topic.
Workshops can accommodate up to 16 preschoolers with an assistant (provided by your location). Mad Science brings all of the equipment and materials needed for each program. We ask you to provide a table, access to water and electricity, and classroom style seating.

Preschool Shows
Additionally, Mad Science conducts shows, which can accomodate a large number of children based upon the space available. Our preschools shows are 30 minutes long and include many fascinating science demonstrations. We have two preschool shows available: Fire & Ice and Sounds Like Science. Seeing is not always believing as our chemical reactions seem to make things disappear! Preschoolers will see amazing "bubbling potions" and the spectacular characteristics of frozen carbon dioxide gas in our Fire & Ice show. In Sounds Like Science, preschoolers will be entertained by wacky wavelengths, a swinging sound tube and a Dinosaur-In-A-Can. Volunteers are used throughout each show and audience participation is encouraged.
